The Process of Model Building

From the previous assignment, I used a process which enabled me to print exact faces of all the pieces that I needed by using a plug-in made for Sketch up. Because of this, I decided to take this approach.

Building the Site

then I began layering the building onto the site.

Building the model

After making a few preliminary sketches, I was able to put them into scale using the site model I just made as I often lose the sense of scale when I sketch in plan.

Museum Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art Porto by Alvaro Siza

This museum stuck particular interest in me as it has unusual spaces and walls which artists would design their artworks around.

from this, I want the public to be able to move around and place posters in odd kinks and accentuated architecture. And maybe shape their posters around it.

Concept: Bill Poster

From visiting the site, I noticed this telegraph pole on the opposite of the road

From initial research, I found that the CITY OF SYDNEY has banned bill posters, since 2006, from being placed anywhere of the city except for 7 designated telegraph poles.
"City warns bill poster offenders to clean up or face fines, Sydney Media, 19 October 2008"

Bill Posters are pollutants to the environments after rain and condensation. They get caught up in the waterways and flow out to sea. The council is getting sick of cleaning it up once a month.

What happens when there's too much on one pole.

What if there was a space to freely advertise your cause, voice, musical, band, and etc for free which would reach the public to view?
